Its product portfolio covers GDTs (Gas Discharge Tubes), TVS Diodes, TSS (Solid Discharge Tubes), PPTC Resettable Fuses, ESD Suppressors, MLVs (Multilayer Varistors), and SPDs (Surge Protective Devices). These include switch tubes for automotive xenon lamps, high-power GDTs for lightning and rail protection, and Schottky diodes for photovoltaic systems. More recently, Boarden launched high-energy SMD varistors. These components are designed to support the industry shift from switch-mode to linear power supplies in LED lighting. Currently, Boarden is developing a new generation of circuit protection devices with higher surge tolerance and better performance. Boarden has overcome these barriers by pioneering low-temperature sintering technology, drastically reducing production costs. In 2017, Boarden invested in a dedicated manufacturing site in Rudong, enabling the first domestic mass production of high-energy SMD varistors and facilitating their widespread adoption across sub-sectors of the electronics industry.
These innovations have addressed critical supply-chain bottlenecks and significantly advanced China’s circuit protection technology. In automotive electronics, security systems, and lighting, Boarden is now the preferred local alternative, helping bridge gaps left by foreign suppliers.

Boarden’s CMS series SMD MOVs utilize advanced multilayer and semiconductor ceramic technology. These compact components offer high surge absorption, excellent low-voltage protection, thermal stability, and enhanced power dissipation.
They are ideal for protecting ICs, transistors, and circuit boards against transient events, and are available in a wide range of models to meet diverse customer needs.
